purchased a Lister D without this spring.
Luckely you have them in stock.

Advantages: For the Governor to function properly it is important that the spring has the exact tension and length. This can only be achieved with an original one.

Disadvantages: none I can think of; the engine not reassembled yet.

This governor spring is far more substantial than the one I removed but it appears to function as expected. Delivered fast as usual.

Advantages: Stronger than the original and looks right.

Quality Replacement spring for your governor.

Advantages: Correct spring rate which is essential for correct operation. This is a pattern part unlike other sellers products which aren't right.
