Advantages: Great little manual - a mine of information to help get the best from your J.A.P. engine. As a novice owner I found it really useful to learn about, not only the model I have (2A), but also the main differences between the models in the range. So much knowledge to be found in such a little book.

Disadvantages: Nit-picking really but some of the cut-away drawings would have been clearer if they were a little bigger. But then a larger booklet would cost more so can't really grumble.

Got a 4 meter length used just under 2m for motor to fly wheel. Easy to join ends.
2nd 2m length cut to 18mm width for fly wheel to lathe.

Worked as needed. Pleased to find after market part when the original manufacturer no longer supports its products. Original gasket came off with some difficulty. However, Do Not Grease Replacement Gasket. It will not seal. Place on dry and torque to specs.

This book is an extremely well-produced guide to working with a Lister D engine. The copy is clear and reflects a good depth of knowledge .
And the well-illustrated design makes it easy to read and to find a particular section.
