Early Edition - Old Stationary Engines Book By David Edgington

(0 reviews)
The original Old Stationary Engines was published by David Edgington way back in 1980, after which it was reprinted five times. This version, produced before computerised technology has black and white illustrations, and 32 pages. It was superseded by two, much larger, colour versions which are still available today.

This was David’s first attempt at producing a book for engine enthusiasts. It is more a collector’s item rather than an informative work!

Although out of print for twenty-four years a box has been located by the publisher. This early version has been making a ridiculous price on online auction sites.

Stationary Engines for the Enthusiast 1994 Edition.

Originally published in 1981 and jointly edited by David Edgington and Charles Hudson. This must rate as the book most purchased as a first for so many engine enthusiasts over the past 30 odd years. Many private stationary engine libraries have probably been founded on this book which has recently has its sixth reprint.

Belts & Belt Driving

(1 reviews)
The topic of belts & belt driving does not appear to have been covered in any depth since before WW2.

Whilst it does not and cannot cover every aspect of the subject, this book is likely to stand as the reference work for some time to come as it covers nearly all you need to know on flat belts and how to use them, including which pulleys to use.
