Top quality heavy duty 4 ply (5.5mm thick) flat belting manufactured from traditional cotton canvas impregnated with Balata rubber.
Balata Transmission Belting is a tough, robust belt material that has a rubber friction surface on both sides. It is constructed from premium quality high tensile cotton impreganted with natural rubber.
This belting is manufactured in accordance with Goodyear Akron, USA standards. It exceeds the requirement of ISS :1370 : 1965.

Finishing of cut edges.
The belting has square cut edges. Standard practice is for the cut edges to be treated with a heat gun, after which a quick dry red paint is applied. The performance of the belting will not be affected by the omission of the painted edges, which are mainly for cosmetic purposes, though the paint does act as a barrier to moisture.
Sold by the linear metre, orders for multiples will be supplied in a single open length.
