Taper bushes also known as taper lock bushes are a tapered, non-flanged, split bushing that utilises allen head grub screws to tighten or pull them into a reducing taper socket squeezing them onto the shaft they are being mounted upon, thus providing excellent clamping force for securing a vast range of pulleys, sprockets, flanged hubs and couplers.

These bushes are utilised on pulleys and sprockets to increase the clamping force over standard bored-to-size products that only use a keyway and set screw to lock onto the shaft. All the bushes supplied by Stationary Engine Parts are of the highest quality, made from high quality materials and come individually boxed with the grub screws.
