Ruston/Proctor & Co/Ruston-Hornsby post 1918 bronze green
Product Information

The Ruston - Hornsby engines were overall green, but odd batches of Ruston - Hornsby PT types were still being produced and sold in the pre-1918 colour of Chocolate maroon.

Lining on these engines was Apple Green but entirely depends on whether or not the particular engine was going out as a show or demonstrator engine. It also depended on how busy the paint shop was at the particular time of production. Flywheels were either painted black or all green.

WD models have been noted to match any of the following BS shades. Battleship Grey, Light or Medium Slate grey and Dark Admirality Grey.

A traditional ultra high quality synthetic coach / machinery enamel with high build properties a long wet edge and high solids content for both brush and spray application. Gives an extra long wet edge time allowing the largest of vehicles or fabrications to be brushed or sprayed without overspray or brush drag. Provides ultimate high gloss with build and scratch filling properties combined with excellent water resistance, flexibility and good exterior durability and toughness.

Is used in preference to normal commercially available enamels for decorative work of the highest standard. The quality of the finish allows for longer maintenance intervals to subsequent re-finishing. Ideal for heavy duty vehicle finishing, tractors, stationary engines, marine applications as well as for vehicle repair work. It has a very good resistance to oils, fats, and cutting oils / fluids etc, which makes it an ideal choice for all types of workshop machinery.
