Precision engineered big end bearing shells equivalent to Lister part numbers 5-1/D18 and 5-1/D19.
Five sizes are available, standard for a 2.5' crank pin and then in 0.010" increments for those who need to compensate for a worn crank pin after a re-grind.
The first batch of Lister CS 5-1 engines and most pre 1940 3-1 engines have a 2.25" (2 ¼”) crank pin which require these special thicker shelled bearings.
Please check your crank pin diameter before ordering, they are not all the same and could use the larger 2.5" bearings.
Three sizes are available, standard for a 2.25" diameter crank pin and then in 0.010" increments for those who need to compensate for a worn crank pin after a re-grind.
A set of precision engineered big end bearing shells equivalent to Part No. 574-10320, comprising shells 8-4-26 and 5-1/D19, suitable for Lister CS 8-1, 16-2, Start-O-Matic and all the CS engines fitted with the heavy kidney holed flywheels.
Complete with oil grooves cut in the white metal for lubrication purposes. Five sizes are available, standard for a 2.5' crank pin and then in 0.010" increments for those who need to compensate for a worn crank pin after a re-grind.
Quality aluminium bearing shims, available in three thicknesses to allow for the fine adjustment of your Lister CS crankshafts end float. Particularly useful for anyone wishing to convert their genuine Lister engine to the taper roller bearing system as this conversion necessitates the shimming up of the bearing carriers away from the crankcase by approximately 0.020" either side.
Two types are available, small for the old style engines with four mounting studs points on the tear drop shaped bearing carrier and large one for the Indian variants usually found on engines fitted with taper roller bearings using bearing carriers with five mounting stud points.
These shims should ideally be inter spaced between gaskets of the same type made from paper which are supplied in our gull gasket sets or they can be used without paper gaskets if every layer is bonded with a jointing compound such as Heldite.
A cast iron main bearing housing for use with either old style bush bearings or the new style taper roller bearings. Please select the type required from the drop down menu. Please note that neither type have the provision for a felt seal but have been made to accept a more reliable standard 2" rubber oil seal which is also available from the drop down menu.
Top quality white metal crankshaft main bush bearings. For use with original style 2" diameter crankshaft journals, not compatible with Indian built engines using taper roller bearings.
Equivalent to Lister part numbers 5-1/B4AS, 8-2-4-119 & 008-02004/119.
High quality aluminium or paper cylinder base shims available in a variety of thicknesses to allow for the fine adjustment of your Lister CS's bump clearance.
These aluminium shims should ideally be inter spaced between gaskets of the same type made from paper which are supplied in our full gasket sets or loose from this listing. The aluminium shims can be used without paper gaskets in between if every layer is bonded together with a jointing compound such as Heldite.
A pair of new felt crankshaft oil seals, suitable for use on older original Lister CS engines of all sizes and Indian Listeroid engines which use the original style bush bearings.
A set of two Gib key covers for all Lister CS and Listeroid CS engines.
These should fit onto all engine types, whether they be genuine Lister or an Indian Listeroid copy.
Original examples of these are very hard to find these days as they are often missing or rusted through. Supplied painted in mid Brunswick green you would be hard pushed to tell that these are reproduction.
Quality oil resistant paper bearing shims, available in two thicknesses to allow for the fine adjustment of your Lister CS crankshafts end float. Particularly useful for anyone wishing to convert their genuine Lister engine to the taper roller bearing system as this conversion necessitates the shimming up of the bearing carriers away from the crankcase by approximately 0.020" either side.
Two types are available, small for the old style engines with four mounting studs points on the tear drop shaped bearing carrier and large for the Indian variants usually found on engines fitted with taper roller bearings using bearing carriers with five mounting stud points.
A good quality oil seal designed for the 2" diameter crankshaft of the Indian type CS engines but could be used on anything else with the same shaft size.
Outside diameter of 3" and a depth of 1/2"
