This solid state unit forms part of the exciation system for many Stamford brushless generators and regulates the generators voltage, the AVR circuitry includes under speed and sensing loss protection features.

These AVR modules can be added to our range of ST alternators to enable a finer adjustment of the output voltage at a given speed/frequency. Customer feedback also indicates that the alternators respond quicker to heavy loads when fitted with one of these.
A good quality bridge rectifier incorporated into an aluminum housing for effective cooling. Ideal as a replacement for the type contained in the TFDW alternators, something I would always keep on the shelf for the day you hope wont happen!
